This is the unofficial site for the Colchester Historical Society.
Since there presently is not an official site, ColchesterTalks is devoting time and pages to promote the fine work of this Society.

860.537.2151 The Colchester Historical Society was founded in 1963. The objective of the Society is to educate and enlighten our citizens to the historical background or Colchester, and to, protect and conserve our architecture and history. Visit the Colchester Historical Society Museum located next to Cragin Library.
The Museum is open Saturday and Sunday 1-4 PM. Support the Colchester Historical Society in many ways. Join by calling 860.537.2151 Send donations to P.O. Box 13, Colchester, CT 06415 Buy their publications that are available at shops in the historic district or at the museum.
Find the definitive source for the fifty of the historic places and houses in Colchester. This book has many, many pictures with detailed stories.
