For over 300 continuous years, hunting and fishing has freely occurred within the boundaries of Colchester.
It is not uncommon to hear gun fire during Colchester's hunting seasons. Colchester has many, many acres of land still available for fishing and hunting. This tradition is preserved by organizations such as the Colchester Fish and Game Club.
