At present, we are aware of these following newspapers that have come and gone: The Colchester Advocate (1887-1896) The Colchester Citizen ( June 16,1950 - July 14, 1960) The News-Citizen ( July 1960 - May 1976) The Standard (December 1981 - January 1989) You can view the entire collection of Colchester Citizen's or News-Citizen at the Zagray room at Cragin Library. The Regional Standard is the present local paper covering Colchester and surrounding areas.
